Our Deluxe Series windchime kits are a quality windchime. However, our symphony orchestras and other professionals that we supply require the best possible windchime that can be designed and produced.
For example: there thousands of quality pianos in homes throughout the country. However, when the piano is for a symphony orchestra, the piano maker will tweak it here and tweak it there, and in doing so, produces an outstanding piano like a Steinway, which sells for $100,000.00 +. .....and that is what we do to our Symphony Series Windchimes. It requires more material and more work; however, it does make them The Best of the Best. From the first hit to the last whisper, the chime will resonate for 3 1/2 minutes. Because of its complexity in design and manufacture, we are the only company in the U.S.A. offering this type of windchime.

The Tweaking Process
A windchime tube is really a complex musical instrument. In order to achieve the maximum level of resonance and maximum sound quality the following issues have to be calculated and/or experimented with:
1. Each diameter of tubing has its own optimum level of impedance. Therefore, choose the optimum wall thickness and alloy for that diameter. This causes the tube to vibrate at its maximum level in a clear and clean manner, resulting in the highest level of sound quality and resonance possible.
2. There 88 notes on a piano. However, because of the chime tube's complexity, it will only produce quality sound for about 14 notes (including sharps and flats). This is referred to as the "Critical Octave." Each diameter of tubing has its own "Critical Octave." The larger the diameter the lower the frequency. Most quality chimes are tuned in this manner.
The "Symphony Series" of chime kits are held to a higher criteria. Within the "Critical Octave" there is a "Critical Frequency." This represents the "Best of the Best" sound. The "Critical Frequency" is at the lower end of the "Critical Octave".
As an example: in doing a 2 1/2" chime set (250-2 Symphony) we use 2 1/2" with a 3/16" wall tubing for the lower three notes. This puts the first 3 tubes right up against the "Critical Frequency." For the higher three notes we then use 2" with a 3/16" wall tubing. This puts the second 3 tubes right up against its "Critical Frequency"......."The Best of the Best"
